Who is this course for?

This course is designed for registered health care professionals who are required to assess, diagnose and treat individuals with ear conditions.

Course aims

This session aims to provide practitioners with knowledge on which to base clinical decisions when providing care to patients with various ear conditions.

 

This course covers a wide range of theoretical knowledge including:

· Anatomy and physiology of the ear

· Patient assessment

· Ear examination in accordance to otoscopy guidance

 

During the course participants will also:

· Gain an understanding of the different classifications of otitis externa inclusive of symptoms, presentation and management.

· Gain an understanding of the different classifications of otitis media inclusive of symptoms, presentation and management.

· Gain an understanding of Otomycosis (Fungal Infection) inclusive of symptoms, presentation and management.

· Gain an understanding of appropriate ear treatments

· Discussion regarding the correct administration of topical treatments

 

On completion of the course a certificate of attendance will be issued to each delegate.

Cancellation/ re-arrangement policy:- 

If course bookings are cancelled/re-arrange to another date more than 6 weeks before the course date a full refund will be given. 

Cancellation/re-arrangement to another date less than 6 weeks before the course date – a refund will be issued minus a £50 (admin fee)

Places can be transferred to colleagues at no additional cost.
